About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on IT Technician to support the day-to-day technical operations of Ultratest. This role is critical to the build, testing and deployment of our Genesis and Nemesis systems, while also supporting first-line technical queries, stock management and logistics. You will play a key part in ensuring our products are built accurately, delivered on time and continuously improved, directly impacting customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Build, assemble and prepare Genesis and Nemesis systems for deployment
- Carry out system configuration, diagnostics and quality checks
- Assemble and prepare hardware components including sleds, JBODs and storage devices
- Ensure systems meet quality and documentation standards prior to dispatch
- Review and triage first-line technical support tickets, resolving basic technical issues and escalate complex faults with accurate diagnostics
- Manage the booking in and out of systems and components & maintain accurate stock records and organise storage areas
- Support shipping, returns and general logistics coordination
- Assist with hardware testing and provide feedback to support product improvements
- Occasional travel to attend on-site erasures, as required
About You
- Basic to intermediate understanding of IT hardware and components
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical procedures
- Organised and methodical with good record-keeping skills
- Able to troubleshoot basic technical issues and use a logical approach to problems
- Confident communicator and effective team player
- Experience building or repairing computer systems, exposure to ticketing systems or interest in hardware development would be desirable
- Full Clean Driving Licence
