Based at our South Kirkby site, you’ll play a key role in processing waste materials, keeping our warehouse in top shape, and operating our shredding and baling machinery. No two days are the same – one day you might be on the forklift, the next helping with collections – but safety, security, and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do
What you’ll be doing
- Loading and unloading confidential paper and materials from vehicles
- Completing daily, weekly and monthly checks on machinery and warehouse equipment
- Operating shredding and baling machinery safely and in line with compliance standards
- Reporting any machinery, equipment or vehicle defects to your supervisor
- Following all health, safety, environmental and manual handling procedures
- Using a counterbalance forklift or JCB telehandler truck safely in a busy environment
- Keeping your workspace clean and tidy to maximise efficiency
- Assisting Service Collection Operatives with customer collections when needed
What we’re looking for
- High standards for health and safety
- A team player with the ability to work independently when needed
- Flexible and calm under pressure
- FLT Counterbalance or JCB Telehandler experience
- Recycling or confidential waste experience is desirable but not essential – we’ll train you
- First Aid or Fire Marshal certificates are a bonus – training can be provided
